Teachers
have a central role in an educational. See their role in the learning process
very dominant. Indonesia is a country where education is an obligation for
every citizen. However, it is not supported by maximum role of teachers. There
are still many teachers who are not professional at this time it is one of the
proofs.
Teachers are the people who teach of knowledge
and has dedicated both in class and outside of class. The term profession is an
occupation that is owned by someone. While professionalism are who have a
profession that required skill and ability to run. Professional teacher is a
teacher who has a soul devotion and dedication to teaching with a variety of
skills and capabilities supported in their role.
Be
a professional teacher means being part of a nation's civilization education
that aims to create a climate of healthy students and integrity. Today there
are many teachers who have not been professional. In everyday life often found
that still many teachers who have a close relationship with the student, will
provide great value to students, because of the proximity.
Professional
teachers should have the expertise, skills, and abilities as Ki Hajar Dewantara
philosophy; "Tut wuri handayani,
garso ing sung tolodo, Ing madyo Mangun Karso". Not enough to master
the subject matter but protect students, an example or role model for students
and always encourage students to better and move forward. Professional teacher
should have the characteristics of a great humanitarian.
LPTK
should have a serious role in creating professional teachers. Recruitment in
the university system should be selective and only accept graduates rated 15
most high school should apply in this country. This step aims to increase the
production of professional teachers in Indonesia in order not to lose out to
other countries
From the explanation above it can be concluded
in this country there are many teachers who have not been professional. Therefore,
teachers should have a high service life to teach a variety of skills and
capabilities supported in their role. Besides, LPTK must the serious role in
create professional teachers.
